Trip to Oman!
For Eid break (End of November), we went to Muscat and stayed with our friends Clotilde, Michel and their girls....and we also catched up with Malinka, Andrew and the kids, friends who just left Cairo in September...
Map of Oman. We few to muscat and then travelled by car to Ras Al Hadd to see the turtles! and we did see them! An emotional moment! One mother laying her eggs and covering them, a very very long process! and few babies leaving their nest who made it all to the sea.... You can see them late at night or early in the morning...Then we slept in wooden cabins on the beach....lovely view in the morning! The sea was warm enough to swim! The temperatures are in average 5 to 6oC warmer than Cairo all year around!!
After these 2 lovely days in Ras El Hadd we headed back to Muscat. A very nice city actually....Saw the Sultan's palace, his mosque, that we visited. Probably the most impressive one that I have seen yet...Trip to the souk, made me think a lot of the Khan El Khalili in Cairo! Anyway lots of nice discoveries!
Here are some pics:
