The Dilling Family

It was something to see! Frozen sea and icebergs in Rungsted harbor, maybe 2 kms from where we live. Apparently it happens only every 10 years or so when the temperatures drop suddenly and there is a strong wind coming for the east, we got all that and that is what you can see after!

Not in Greenland, still in Denmark!!

I think that we were lucky to see that! Not sure if we are still here in another 10 years to witness it again :)

Sam lost his first tooth today!  Now we are all wondering what the Tooth Fairy does bring in Denmark!

A very happy boy!

A few pictures of Denmark and Sweden in Autumn.... it was really beautiful!

The Øresund bridge connects Denmark and Sweden (Copenhagen to Malmö), and it is the longest road and rail bridge in Europe (8km). ok ok not our picture, but a very nice one I tought!!!

So just after the bridge when we arrived in Sweden we went to visit the old part of Malmö...

We visited Sweden with Mamie and Papi, great moments all together! 

Here we are North of Malmö, in a town called Göteborg, in the botanical garden. It was really nice, specially beeing there in autumn, so many colors! I guess we missed proper seasons after Houston and Cairo!

On the way back to Denmark, from Göteborg we crossed from Helsingborg in Sweden to Helsingör in Denmark with a ferry, see the picture of the castle in Helsingör, where supposedly Shakespeare got the inspiration to write Hamlet...

Nyhavn in Copengahen, special atmosphere with the fog! Houses in all different colors, lots of pubs and restaurant, we like it there!

Ok Halloween...  maybe a bit too much blood this year but we had fun!

Oulala, I can not believe that the last message I posted was in 2010!!! well 2011 has not been the best year so far... so it's maybe as well and I shall start better for 2012 on this blog!

But now that I am back I should maybe not wait another 6 months but tell you what are our latest news!!!

We have left Egypt, and are now back in Denmark! about 10 years since we were living in Esbjerg! but now we are in the Copenhagen area, to be precise in a town called Horsholm (about 20 mins drive north of Copenhagen).

We miss Egypt, our friends, the school, the country etc... deeply and the kids ask us every day to go back... it's hard to hear that! but the first few weeks in Denmark went fairly well, Manon and Sam started school already since the 9th of August... and our first impressions are quite good... now lets see!

I will be back with more news before one year it's a promise!

September has been a busy month!

Back to school, Lambert's forty birthday party and the "surprise" visit from Reinder and Zwanet. We did manage to keep it a surprise until the morning of their arrival, so not too bad!

Especially the rain!!! Ok they live in Egypt so it's happen about once a year for a few minutes, so they are missing it!
